Can a QR code be transparent?
With the QR Penguin transparent QR code generator you can create a free QR code with a transparent

download it as a PNG or SVG it can be placed on top of any colored background, photo or design. For
backgrounds with multiple colors a transparent background works best, since this generator only allows a
single solid color as an alternative background.
How do I make a QR code transparent?
This QR code generator has already set the QR code transparent background. In the QR code generator
customisation options you have the ‘Background’ tab. Clicking on this tab brings up the background options
for the QR code. The first option allows you to choose between a color for the background, this can just be a
single color. The second option creates a transparent QR code.
When the transparent QR code option is selected, the scannability assumes the background is white, so if
you want a white QR code on a transparent background you may ignore the scannability value.
In the background options you can also edit the QR code padding. Padding will add extra space between the
QR code and its image border so when you download the QR code as PNG it you will have extra padding.
Can a QR code be all white?
Yes, the QR code can be white as long as the background of the QR code has a sufficient background color
to allow the QR code scanner to recognise the white QR code.
